Repentance is turning away,
Choosing to change and not just pray.
Wanting to make a difference taking the step
Leaving behind the things that bring regret.
Trying your best to discern what’s pushing you away
And asking the Lord to guide you each day
Realigning your thoughts with what God has said
Letting His Word renew your heart and your head
It’s tough, but it’s possible though it takes work
To follow His path when temptation may lurk
You may fall down but get up once more
His mercy is waiting just as before
Stay close to the Lord and trust what He says
Even when you’re confused or filled with distress
When you don’t understand the road up ahead
Hold onto His promises and do what He said
Repentance is more than feeling ashamed
It’s turning to God and becoming changed
It’s choosing His ways when your flesh says no
And trusting His timing wherever you go
You won’t get it perfect so don’t be afraid
His grace is sufficient for every mistake
Keep seeking His presence keep walking in light
Keep fighting the good fight with all of your might
So, when you feel distant return to His side
When you feel weak let His strength be your guide
Keep your eyes on Jesus whatever you face
For every true step brings you closer to grace
Repent keep believing and walk in His way
Keep choosing His truth, keep trusting each day
You may stumble but don’t let your heart stray
Turn back to the Lord and keep walking His way
