Constant in the Change

Have. You noticed so much in the world is changing and actually so much in the Church is changing too, at international, national and local levels.

There is however, One who is our constant in the change, Jesus never changes His disposition towards us, He never changes in how He sees us and wants us to reign in life in relationship with Him. Malachi 3:6 states:

"For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed."

And the verse that gives us utter security is found in Hebrews 13:8:

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."

Since He never changes and His word never changes, who does that leave? You and me and everyone else of course! The Holy Spirit is always seeking to lead, guide, work and press us toward His goal for us to be whole spirit, soul, body, and in our relationships and finances. He wants us to experience HIs perfect peace more and more, His Shalom - nothing missing and nothing broken and every bit put back together!

The vision of Jesus for the Church has never changed, He may use different moves and methods over the centuries but His goal remains the same: That the Church that He purchased with His own blood would become a glorious Church and there would be glorious local churches in every city, town and village in every nation. Jesus wants us fit for His use in this day as He wants to pour out manifestations of HIs glory the likes of which have never been seen before. He is looking for vessels to use to do this:

Notice 2 Timothy 2:20-23:

"But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honour and some for dishonour. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honour, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife."

If we are willing to submit to His process then He won't be limited in our sphere of influence from pouring out HIs glory. Some of the things we have held on to in our lives of practises and allegiances that felt like gold, silver and precious stones to us are just wood and clay in this season. Basically, what didn't get the job done up to now is not likely to get the job done from now on! It's a new day, get with it, Jesus is owning it, and wants you and I to play our part in it to the full!
